2 hours to drive 2 miles to my house food was cold and sucked.

I need to give these guys another star solely based on the fact that I've been there 3 times this month. And while I hold my ground that it isn't he best in town, the staff is incredible... so sweet! And if you miss their crazy 5-$7 lunch specials 11-3, that's ok, because dinner specials start at $8 or so. Again, I've had better in town, but for fast, like lightening fast take-out, it's fit the bill on some colder nights when I didn't feel like leaving the couch to cook.

I have always known the quality of the food was just mediocre, but for the price, I always kept coming back whenever I had a craving for Chinese. That is, until this last time when an hour went by after I had ordered and still no food. When I called, they YELLED at me and then hung up on me for not answering my phone when they had apparently been waiting outside my door (they called the wrong number even though I double checked and the right one was on file). Not only that, I had to practically BEG them to cancel my order and give me a refund when it was clear that they were going to redeliver the HOUR OLD FOOD rather than make me anything fresh. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

OK, the only reason I gave this place 2 stars was because the staff was willing to listen to me after my poor experience. They seem like good people--but China Wok's food is something else.I live very nearby this restaurant, and when I moved into my apartment, I was so excited to have a Chinese place next door. I had high hopes, and they simply couldn't have fallen farther. I have ordered take out from here twice (well, they only have 1 table anyway), and it wins the award for worst Chinese food EVER. I had tofu mixed vegetables, which is my go-to. No. just no. The vegetables were not just mediocre quality, but clearly past their prime. I'm talking soggy, wilted, and literally, barely even edible. It was so bad, I couldn't even tolerate eating the rest of my meal. Again, in an attempt to force myself to like China Wok, I ordered from here a second, and final time, 2 weeks after. The food was still of poor quality.I had hoped it was an isolated incident, but the facts suggest otherwise. I am truly shocked there are so many positive reviews here.In conclusion, poor quality food, questionable sanitation, very very limited seating. Please, China Wok, if you read this, take a look at what you're serving as Tofu Mixed Veggies, or it's only a matter of time before the health department will look for you!

I've come to really like this place. It is a no-nonsense takeout joint that's affordable but with food that doesn't taste cheap. I've never had them screw up an order ...?
